TZFM201-Spring-Week3-Team2 - Cruel Britannia

The audience for my image set is primarily the public and I hope they will feel some dislocation in response to the juxtaposed images. The series will give a respectful nod to the likes of Tony Ray-Jones and Martin Parr.
These will be six Product related photographs from a documentary aspect depicting a clear narrative questioning the unchallenged nature of the British cult of ‘Monarchy’ during a time of austerity and food banks. 'Monarchy' is the product.
I will capture the images ‘on the street’ and ideally during good weather. I will look at the subject from an objective point of view. Where the subject allows, I’ll shoot landscape on the day, but I expect to edit down to 1:1 square aspect ratio. The images will not be manipulated in post-production. This is to to provoke an appropriate reaction to the ‘realities’ being put in front of the viewer. As society polarises, I feel the need to articulate an alternative point of view to that which is uniformly presented by the mainstream media. Why do we not challenge privilege and entitlement more?
